My 'creative' take on coffee:
Ring of fire, err...coffee.
Taken with a Nokia Lumia 520 and edited with Adobe Photoshop Express.
Back story: I wanted to create an abstract picture using the empty cup of coffee sitting on my desk.
I snap this on my 1520 and edited it on phototastic I was chilling at home and wanted coffee to go with my freshly baked cinnamon glazed pretzel my coffee was topped with banana fudge swirl ice cream
My fixing station. I have this at home and work and it is my morning and lunch ritual. Although my office mates don't drink coffee (how can you survive?) they appreciate the smell of freshly made espresso. Instead of frothing the milk I just heat it in the microwave and add two shots of espresso. Typically I get just the right amount and beautiful crema - of course not this time when I try to take a picture. Still tastes great. Something close to a caf? latte. Shot with a Lumia 920 and tweaked with thumba photo editor.
just sharing, all you folks submitted some beautiful pictures! Tough one to pick a winner.
This was my morning espresso week ago. Changed it bit with Nokia creative, and Adobe express. I like the way the upper part of the cup looks like a planet, and then there is sun arising behind it. Of course the coffee was excellent also. Made from fair trade beans

One of my films was shown at the Columbia Gorge International Film Festival this week and I took this shot on our first day there. It was taken with my Lumia 920 and touched up in Fhotoroom.
As a Chemist I have always been intrigued with the different processes to make coffee, the science of roasting, grinding and extraction. The structure of caffeine (barely visible on the inside of the cup in the image) is only the most obvious one. There are so many fascinating nuances in the fine chemistry of caramelization that balance acidity, bitterness, nuttiness etc. that you could spend an entire seminar series on this explaining it.

Hey guys, this winter (in Argentina) I went to visit my parents to Bariloche (the most beautiful place on Earth, check it out) and I took this photo with my Lumia 520. My mum had bought an espresso machine so I decided to experiment with it. I edited the photo with Nokia Creative Studio, just added some bright and blurred the background.
Here is my coffee picture. It's story is short, but really nice. It is about Greek & Turkish friendship. A bunch of Greeks and Turkish friends sat down together at a Greek tavern, and drank this Greek/Turkish coffee. There was always a fight between the two nations for the coffee. Who invented it? The Greeks or the Turks? They both claim the coffee. This fight symbolises the tensions between the two nations.
Conclusion of this story? It doesn't matter where it comes from, it is now part of both cultures, let us just enjoy it as brothers together!
Made with my 925, added a filter and cropped with Instagram.
Some world famous coffee and beignets at Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans.
My wife and I were there in March and she took this pic with her Lumia 928.
She used Fantasia Painter to add a little sharpness.
I took this photo with my 1020 when I was in Taiwan a couple weeks ago. Edited with AdobePhotoshopExpress on the phone.
I was in Taipei in the hotel waiting for the typhoon to pass. The latte is from Cama Cafe. Gotta love those pork buns from 7-Eleven. Brings back childhood memories growing up in Taipei.
