Weekly photo contest: Coffee

Wow, some seriously good photographs here. Not to mention some really exotic coffee shots from around the world.
I dont envy the guy who has to pick a winner from this lot.



A home made, no fancy, huge mug of some strong coffee, shot in macro style(or what i think macro is). Since i took this a couple of weeks before, I don't remember the exact filter i used, but i did get some of that vignette shadow from Camera360.

The idea was to get the spotlight as the sun, and the bubbles as the waves.

Shot from Lumia 1320, with flash on, so as to get that very abstract spot light.

P.S I was looking for an abstract background, and i got myself one fine lockscreen image out of this one. The bottom of the image being darker, gave a stark contrast to the time, and the light coffee shade, was perfect for the weather info.

Well I've looking for a job on the internet and my coffee has become kind of my partner (and also kind of a motivational friend lol). Luckily my mother brought home some cookies too =D.
Picture was taken on a Lumia 520 device and it was edited with Nokia Creative Studio. I tried doing the manual blur effects but I was a disaster.

I used my Lumia 1520 with the Nokia Pro camera. The image was show in RAW and edited in light room.

The picture came about because I don't drink coffee. At first I wanted to do a shot of some ground coffee but that was boring so instead I used this coffee cup. I set it up under my Air Conditioner drip pipe for those water drops on it and the water pool under it from the dirt actually makes it look like coffee was spilled there .

Took this picture at Novo Caf? in Denver, Colorado. (You can see "Mile High Malt" on the poster, I like that detail) I have only been here once but it was fantastic. The amount of care and patience that went into this cup of coffee was so astounding I thought this picture would do it justice! I had been told about this place from my family and it was one of the places that I HAD to make sure I visited while I was there. Taken with my Lumia 920, no editing.

Photo taken with my Lumia 1320 (Nokia Camera) with Adobe Photoshop Express. First espresso in the morning, 70/30 blend, perfect for a wake up. When I was grinding coffee beans some of them fall and spread on the table.

A beautiful flat white with a salted caramel maccaron in St Kilda, Melbourne from the weekend.

A few level adjustments and some vignetting in Adobe Photoshop Express.

This photo was taken on a Lumia 930 (which I had only owned for 3 days) at Over the Road Cafe in Melbourne, Australia. Coffee was a basic Latte. We came here because of a fantastic Living Social voucher, the food and coffee was pretty good. Only some very basic editing was done using Nokia Creative Studio to crop the image and enhance the colour slightly.
