Why don't the buttons on my Lumia 920 work?

The buttons on my Lumia 920 don't work.

This happened after an update i did and they were just not responding. The only button workin is the volume up button. This also means that i cannot switch off my phone. But i can unlock it using double tap when the screen turns off and locks.

Can someone suggest some ways I can get this problem fixed!!

To completely rule out software as an issue... You have to do a clean install of the latest OS and firmware. You will loose data so do a backup first and then use one of these tools. FAQ - How can I recover/reset/restore my phone software? - Microsoft - USA

It will restore your phone with the latest available version for your model.

If your buttons continue to work improperly, it must be hardware and you should seek qualified repair.
