My Surface RT has decided to show the status"plugged in not charging" message and only has 13% charge left. The white LED isn't illuminating on the charge lead. I have done as said on the MS website... Check the charger, reverse lead into tablet, check for updates etc.
The tablet did an auto update this evening before I noticed the problem, should I try putting the system back to before the update?
Is there a reset option or anything else I should try?

My charge cable got screwed up over time. I have to connect the connector one way and make sure the wire is facing a particular direction before the LED lights.

Not saying this is what's happened to yours, but if the white LED isn't coming on it's most likely a connector/supply issue.
