WP8.1 GDR1 - update downloaded couldn't be opened

People, please test this procedure before you hard reset or use the Nokia recovery tool. I had the 8018830f error like 10 times, it always downloaded but install failed. After changing language and region to UK it went further. I'm now at the spinning cogs screen installing the update.

I'm in the UK worth an official UK device and it's not working for me :/

Don't think you can install an update to sd card, in any way.

Is everyone installing to phone or sd card, I just changed from sd to phone and am trying again

It's an os update, it will only install to the phone.

Not working for me either.

Lumia 820 - Downloads etc fine, restarts and then have spinning cogs for about 20 minutes before failing.

i had the 0x80188308 on my lumia 822 i changed the language to french then downloaded and it installed

925 Cyan in the UK, but was on US Region and settings to get Cortana. Have switched back to UK. Have removed US entirely. Rebooted many times.

Tried the update after reboot, have 17gb free, but still getting the error.

Oh well it's a developer preview so I'm not complaining and I'm sure it'll be resolved soon, but I'm just impatient to have the newness!

My battery was at 100% and on charger.. It's not that.

Battery less than <50%
charging now to see if it's that!
I had set phone to US for a few weeks to try out Cortana, but switched back 3 or 4 weeks ago, to UK.
trying to think of anything unusual about my phone...

wait!!what? Cyan is not for DP for now,you are mistaken,if you need cyan u have to revert back to windows phone 8 using recovery tool i guess,then only u could install official 8.1+cyan..

Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately not working for me. Will wait and see what suggestions others come up with before doing a hard reset.

My Lumia 925 with cyan+dp got the same error but my L720 with dp 8.1 (not cyan) got this update.

Nothing Works tried everything from had reset to change languages nothing Lumia 925 Cyan Dev Preview 8.1

lumia 920, black, 4gb free, battery 100%, tried 4 times. cleared IE cache, deleted temporary files, change keyboard language with download, change phone language.

No results.
