Yea, got a screen protector. If I can't use a screen protector, I don't want it. It shouldn't even be a problem. Pinch/zoom also not working. I hate it, but I returned the phone today. I should've just bought a 635, like I got my wife. There is no excuse for problems like this. There are exactly 3 decent Flagship quality Windows phones worth looking at (HTC One, 1520, 830) and 2 of them have deal breaker issues. 830 with its capacitive buttons and the 1520 with touch screen issues. I absolutely will not buy an Android phone and I don't want to move to iOS due to the iTunes requirement. Microsoft is doing everything they can to move me to an iPhone. The HTC doesn't interest me because it doesn't have sd card expansion.
This has been driving my wife nuts, apparently she uses Cortana more than I thought.
Since we got her phone on the Next plan, she is super paranoid about breaking it so she wanted the screen protector right away and a case. We had one on her 920 and it never had any responsiveness issues so I am guessing it is something just to do with the phone itself and can't really be blamed fully on the screen protector.
The other two buttons respond fine, and in my search for answers I saw several people saying they were having an issue even without a protector. I saw MS respond back in August on a forum saying they were researching the issue, but didn't see anything since then. Right now, I am just telling her to be patient and it will hopefully be addressed with a update if it is not a hardware issue, and to just use the cortana tile for now. So far this is her only gripe with the phone, and she prefers to stick with Lumia because she likes the camera stuff, she is always taking pictures. Since she dropped her 920 the 1520 was too big for her tastes so we went with 830. Hoping they will get fixed. I mentioned the hole punch solution, she didn't want to do it
