Ha, not five minutes after I posted this, I got a notification that a label has been created for my other shipment as well!

Nice! I've been checking the status using the Package Tracker app (best tracking app in the WP store, btw), so I didn't see that. That gets me even more excited for tomorrow! Can we just fast forward throught today?!

I got my hold yesterday -

For those concerned about on what MS is doing with removing the funds and not shipping yet -

They put a pre-auth hold on the funds to make sure they will clear. Generally a merchant has 2 days to release the hold or convert it into a completed sale. The number of days varies but given the standard is 2 days it means they are holding the money for an impending shipment.

Once They create the shipping label and UPS scans the package into their system - MS will convert the hold to a sale and will really be gone.

MS is not technically removing the money for your account but instead holding so that when it ships it will be available. This is a good thing because they would not do this if they were not able to/planning to ship the device within that hold period.

This is why its a good sign that the hold has been applied. If you got a hold - you are getting a Surface 3 Friday/Saturday.

Well I got the shipping confirmation on the type cover but not the i5/256, which I ordered on May 28th. Why I called Microsoft, I don't know but I did and the rep says that the i5/256 won't ship until 6/20 and to expect next week. I'm really pissed and hope that they just don't know what they are talking about. If I don't get it delivered tomorrow, I'll just pick up from BestBuy and cancel the order. But I have a type cover! Darn!

MyUPS is awesome......I love getting notifications in advance of packages arriving, even if it is something I didn't order for myself. If something...anything...is coming to your address via UPS, you get an email notification a day or two in advance.

My cancelled Microsoft order shipped today as well. Meanwhile my real order with Staples (who for some reason didn't charge sales tax) is silent on shipping status. Their website is having all sorts of difficulties. Ugh. So most likely the precious is going to arrive tomorrow and I won't even be able to open it. Torture!

First post on this forum and it's good news! My Surface Pro 3 and keyboard were just delivered by Canada Post! I had ordered mine from The Source in case anyone else ordered it from the same store.

Update on my situation: Tracking number provided and CC was charged in full on Tuesday. UPS tracking site still says they have not received the package from MS. I contacted MS this morning and the rep told me that my order is due to be sent out today. Furthermore, they mentioned that in general orders would be released to UPS throughout the day today and tomorrow (Friday) with the goal being that all preorders are shipped by end of day Friday. This means that the majority of people will receive it MONDAY or Tuesday if outside of the U.S. :crying:
