what Windows phone do you have and how long does your battery last ?

If you could please indicate the duration/amount of time you get out of your battery on average and please classify yourself as either a lite, midcore or hardcore user, meaning you use your phone A LOT with streaming, browsing and gaming.

And please don't forget to list your phone model.

I'm trying to see which windows phones have the longest battery life for my next upgrade as battery life is important to me.

I have an 8x during the week its plugged in virtually all the time as I have it on my desk with screen timeout set to never so I can see notifications and social media posts come in. At the weekend with medium usage - light gaming, texts and calls and some web browsing it will last a full day meaning I unplug it early morning 7am and it will still have at least 20% left on the battery in the evening when I go to bed around midnight.

Heavy browsing in this websites lots of phone calls 70+ less than 2 minute calls a bunch of text 10 to 20 per day. I call that heavy use but I don't play games much I don't you tube or stream music. I have all my music downloaded to save data.

I get about 16 hours out of a charge. I am off the charger at 5:30 in the mornings I usually set the phone on the charger at 20% charge around 9 to 10 at night.

I get about 24-36 hours with moderate use. That large 2300mAh battery makes all the difference.

On work days: ~10hrs. Light use. 9hrs in poor but usable signal, no wifi (not allowed on corporate network)
Weekends: ~18hrs. Moderate use (browsing, chatting, some games and videos). Fair signal + strong wifi over 80% of the time.

Lumia 521 - 18 Hours Minimal Use, 12 Hours Medium, 8 Heavy Usage(tethering to pc). No wifi only cellular connections.

Lumia 820 - I can kill my battery in 4-5 hrs with heavy use. Moderate use I can get 9-10 hrs. If I'm really careful with light use, I can get 16-18 hrs.

920 - it comes off the charger (100%) between 6.30/7am and goes back on at about 11pm with about 20% remaining.

I am a business user and use the camera (+ some on-phone photo processing), emails, twitter, texts and calls. I browse news website, very little you tube, no videos, music or games. Total usage time throughout the day is probably two hours excluding regular & frequent checks to see in boxes.

I am in an area with good reception (so there's little hunting for the signal) and I don't use 4G (don't think for my usage that there'd be much benefit).

Would be interested to hear what you decide on as you'll get lots of replies, but all so different it may not be that much help to you!

Phone Calls (1h a day), 30 sms, 30 whatsapp, browsing (1h), reading Rss / news feeds (1h), little gaming (not much 3D, 30 mins), sometimes navigation.
Lasts 20 hours.

Battery draining are (imo): Whatsapp (yes, still.), IE (dont know if its better after Amber, have to check), Navigation.

But im waiting for the Lumia 520 Battery from "Mugen Power" (1600mAh) to put in my device, so it will last much longer. yeah

Just want to point out that battery will be dependant on apps a lot of the time - if somebody has a lot of background apps running then battery will drop off as quick as say a moderate user.

I turn off Facebook messenging, auto-low for brightness, and I usually have to charge it at 8pm after taking off the charger at 6am

battery literally last for 3 days with 5% still leff

i use it for phone calls and music for one hour daily and flight mode at night for 6 hours

Nokia 1020 and if I'm home and the 4g tower is not trying to break in I finish the day with 70-80% on my battery. Trouble is some days I get a 4g signal that I never get more the 2 bars on but it only comes in from time to time not every day. When that happens I can do nothing really on my phone and it will be died before bedtime. Need to give that trick a try to look out 4g service because it sucks when my battery dies like that.

moderate usage, some gaming, facebook, web browsing short videos, 30+ texts, a few pictures, a couple phone calls, tons of email from 3 email accounts. I take off charger at 5:45 am and put on charger at 10:30 pm ish with about 40%.

Heavy usage, lots of games, videos (local), pictures, kids playing with it (game and you tube, Netflix) for an hour or so, I get about 6 hours.

if I just play video after video (720, or 1028 Blue Ray rips, or Netflix/ hulu), I can kill it in a 3 hours.
