I also think that would be great to see, picture passwordThis is not the feature I'm most excited about but I'm surprised no one has mentioned this anywhere before: Just like on Windows 8, I expect WP8 to have picture password. I think it's almost guaranteed. It makes sense and it'd be a very cool feature.
Am I the only one who's expecting this?
Full Backup/Restore Option. This means everything from app data/settings, log in data, apps, media (pictures/ringtones/videos/etc), wifi/bluetooth settings, to volume levels.
Screenshots. Maybe volume up/down at the same time.
sd card. but they haven't show much of wp8?!
I am surprised to see that better notification handling/ notification center was not mentioned in any of the posts. Coming from iOS, I found the notification handling in Windows Phone is severely lacking. I would like to have a preview of the email (toast notification) regardless of the screen I am currently on. I would also like to see all my notifications in a central place (like iOS or Android). I am eagerly waiting for Windows 8 to make improvements in this area.

Check out post #9. Notifications already stated, so I chose not to.I am surprised to see that better notification handling/ notification center was not mentioned in any of the posts. Yep, they really should focus on making the best out of windows desktop <-> phone communication. That would be such a killer feature and really hard for any competitor to catch up to. Just dont stop at messages, it has to be fully shared services.Has anything been said about pushing text messages from your windows Phone to the messages app on Windows 8, and being able to reply via your Windows 8 computer? I strongly feel they're going to do this, and I look forward to it![]()
An option to retain a WiFi connection when I turn the screen off.
Incredibly exciting, isn't it?
well, im afraid i cant direct compare to other OS's as WP7 was my first true 'smartphone' but the full back up akin to what I hear Apple offer would be really good- and is the piece of mind ive been waiting for. I believe it is coming, and im sure WP8 will get it sorted in their own way. The portability of all OS data from one handset to another via the cloud perhaps? including app configurations and tile layout? that's probably asking too much but hey... here's hoping! That would be cool. Is there something similar on another phone OS that you would say they could use as a model?
