Why are you leaving Windows Mobile over OneDrive storage reductions?

Windows Central Question

I've seen many people here and on Reddit who say that they're leaving Windows Mobile and cancelling their Lumia 950/XL preorder over it. This doesn't seem very logical. Backing up photos can be done through several applications -- Flickr, Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, etc. -- on Windows Mobile, iOS and Android. I'm upset with Microsoft for changing their policy too, however I don't think it warrants giving up on Windows Mobile.

I'm not leaving Windows Mobile (yet), I'm leaving OneDrive.

I'll get myself a NAS with RAID and build my own cloud then use Amazon Cloud Drive to backup everything.

[WARN]Let's keep the conversation on OneDrive, not each other, parenting skills and other asides.

Windows Central is the name on the tin, not Parenting Magazine.

Ok, when I first saw the news of Onedrive space downgrade, I was like..... Oh cool
What I am trying to say that I don't see the reason of people being furious. Its a phone we are using and we don't normally sit down and watch 5 movies on our phone daily. I believe the access to onedrive on our phone is to have a continuous back up of our phone and easy access to our personal files from our computer.

We hardly trust could networks to begin with, so we hardly even upload things that are really personal. So I don't see how 1TB will be an issue, that's a lot of space. Hardly see a 10TB external online for sale on ebay nor amazon, so why expect Win10 to offer UNLIMITED for free since its been abused?

Don't think its even a reason for people to even leave windows cause wherever they go, cloud network is always an issue.

Yeah, for the same reason you don't have small time crooks stealing from the mob.

They don't steal from google cause it can be bought. If you see a personal picture that you like, google offer you a price to purchase the file. So that's why you haven't seen any report of stealing cause its actually been sold for a price.

Google doesn't sell your personal photos you upload onto Google Photos. The funny thing I find about all this data mining that Google does, along with everyone else, is that it is to sell for targeted advertising purposes. I always wonder why any advertiser would waste their money paying for this information based on the ads I see, which I am not the least interested in. I use ad blockers when on PCs, and I would use them in a minute if available on Windows phone. Ads are just ruining the experience of phone browsing for me, to the point I avoid many sites that are laden with them. This targeted advertising is really driving people away, not enticing them to buy anything.

Because onedrive is the only service that fully supports windows phone.

Google drive isnt available on WP, and there is no way to fully integrate those services into the OS without a "set default app" function.

Im not leaving the WP ecosystem because i have 1 tb with office 365, but i can see why onedrive free users would be mad.

Despite the disadvantage of Microsoft windows such as the lazy updates of apps., less apps than android and iOS, and the poor camera photos, Microsoft try to repel and kicks out more users of these operating system specially it's new policy of OneDrive limitation of storages!!
Why Microsoft?!
